Cwt Dringo @ Bwlch Y Moch
The Hut is at the base of one of the UK’s premier rock climbing venues and directly below the cliffs of Bwlch-y-Moch near Tremadog (almost opposite the infamous old ‘Eric’s Café’). Being situated in Snowdonia National Park too it offers convenient accommodation for and access to all of the mountains and coastline of North and Mid Wales.

Facilities
The stone building, built we believe in the late 1800s, used to be a cow shed and dairy! It has now been converted and consists of ‘bunkhouse’ style accommodation sleeping 14 people when booked independently and 21 with the club dormitory.
The hut was renovated during 2014 and 2015 following a successful Sport England grant application, and consists of:
• 2 x dormitories to hold 14 in total
• A lounge with wood burning stove
• 2 x showers, 2 x WC’s and 2 x wash rooms*
• A large fully equipped kitchen and dining area
• Off road car parking
• Drying room
*(with a dividing door to provide 2 independent wash areas if required)

Can I Use The Hut Before I Join?
Besides being made available for group bookings to other organisations, the Hut is also available to prospective BRMC Members on a trial basis when accompanied by an existing BRMC Member free of charge for the first visit. Upon becoming a BRMC Member you are free to use our hut whenever you wish and as a base for whatever activity you choose.
However, the hut is currently open to members bookings only, due to the Welsh Covid-19 restrictions, and will be reopened as soon as we can to other clubs, organisations and the general public. Do contact us if you would like to be advised when the hut is fully reopened so you can book in and enjoy what Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales has to offer.
How much does it cost?
BRMC Members are welcome to use the hut for £10 per person per night. Guests can accompany BRMC Members at a rate of £13 per person per night. If you wish to book the hut for longer or as a training facility, please contact our Hut Secretary.
What If I’m Interested In Using Your Facilities But Do Not Wish To Join?
That’s fine. The club exists to foster an appreciation of the mountain environment. Check out the Hut Calendar for availability. For further details, cost and booking please contact the Hut Secretary.
